That's how many people were baptized tonight at New Spring.... Four hundred and two people!! I simply can't get over that. I watched as these people came down and make a public display of their relationship with God.
I knew at least half of them, they were my friends, my students, even my family. My Mom and sister both went down.
Its amazing how God is working in Anderson... I mean... Anderson , population - 25,899. That's tiny, insignificant even. And He's working such an awesome miracle through US! In addition, there's more to come! I can't wait.

Hey Crys, nice post. I hate to tell you this, but god(any of them) doesnt exsist... sorry to be the bearer of bad news. He truley doesnt.
In response to your question. I believe in nothing, no god, no supreme being. I worship family and friends and people through acts of selflessness have shown their deservingness. My passion for life comes from the people who I surround my life with. My desire to live is based on how I live my life, what I want to accomplish in it, and the goals I wish to achieve. If there is a god, why does he allow so many to suffer? Why does he allow rape, murder, torture, and other acts of evil continue? If there is a god, and does allow this to happen(which obviously it does, just open up the newspaper. Everyday hundreds of people get hurt or killed in the most horrible ways); then that is no god I would want to worship, or will worship for he is not worthy. As far as I am concerned those who allow evil to pass without interuption, are just as evil as those who committ it.
Allowing evil to pass is one thing but even from another perspective, there is no god.
Take it from this, the Bible is clearly wrong we have proven it with facts. We know we are not the center of the universe like stated in the Bible, we know many things that contradict the bible. If these "holy" words are created by a real god then how can they be false?
No, you see, believing in a god is just a way of getting out of the truth. The truth being we are alone in this universe. God was created out of fiction to give people the belief and comfort that there will be something in the afterlife. Look at every religon and you will find they all have one thing in common. If your a good person on earth then you will goto the "after-life". This is completely ridiculous, and a sham. People fear death so they make up something to give them comfort at night. God does not exist and never will. It is just a hope or a dream created by the weak minded.
Now this may be a little bit different but the principle is still there. When children grow up they learn of these magical creatures that give them things. Such as the easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and the best known santa clause. We all know now as we are older that these are nothing but stories. Nothing but stories that give us hope. Just like god, the bible and religon in general, a story, one given for hope.
